I agree that Barack Obama is the only hope we have for the next election.

The Clintons seem to be as much in the pockets of the industrialists and big money players as Bush and his manipulators. The only difference is in image and style. Someone on Billy Moyer's show recently pointed out that Bill Clinton reduced taxes for the wealthy from $.30 on the dollar to $.22, whereas Bush Jr. only reduced it another 4 cents, so which one is worse? Granted Bill looks better on the surface, but it could be the old good guy-bad guy ploy to pacify the masses after a heavy stiff. Granted, Hillary can't be blamed for Bill, but she is a little too close for comfort to his backdoor dealings.

After McCain's involvement in the Savings and Loan Scandal, I really can't understand why so many people think he is a man of high honor and integrity. Moreover, his 100 Year War comment shows that he is clearly in the camp of the military industrial complex.

This election will show whether or not a candidate for the people like Barack Obama can win against the political machines that have been built by the super rich who have no qualms about making their money from thousands of deaths by the military industrial complex or polluting factories that will drastically change the environment for our children and grandchildren.

Both senator's McCain and Clinton are too closely aligned to disastrous former administrations. McCain for the idiotic war that Bush created and McCain supported and Clinton for the failed Clinton administration that did nothing about Bin Laden and who's administration was morally corrupt.

I'd go with Obama as well since he doesn't represent the past but the future. Unfortunately, in my current state of residence of Texas, Clinton won the primary so I hope my former state of residence of Pennsylvania doesn't repeat that mistake.

Thanks for your thoughts, Dennis. I have been struggling with the Clinton vs. Obama choice for a while now. Clinton is *my* demographic but I do like the way Obama handles the silly non-issue guestions he is constantly peppered with. In some sense, my reasons for supporting Hillary over Obama are because she is an insider who can work the "machine" but perhaps I am too far in the box in my thinking. Obama would really be sending a message that we don't want more of the same.

Dennis,
Obama gives us some slight chance to break out of the machine politics that is killing this country. Let's hope your feelings resonate with many, many others on Tuesday!
